Home Brewer’s Competition

Each quarter of the year, Saint Patrick’s Brewing Company hosts a home brewer’s competition that ties into our Brew Master’s Reserve Series concept. After a beer style is chosen, the brewers of Saint Patrick’s Brewing will brew a base batch of sweet wort. The home brewers collect the sweet wort, take it home to boil, hop, add flavors (or not), ferment and condition. Anything edible can be added to the brews. It can be watered down or amped up with more grains or sugars. What yeast will be used? At what temperatures will the beers be fermented/conditioned? The point is for 20 + brewers to get creative with the same base beer. What can that base beer become? The possibilities are endless!

The first tasting/awards night was held on Nov, 22, 2015. The base beer was a Helles Bock. The winning beer was a Vanilla Creme Bock!
